| Holidays are a fun and exciting time for kids of all ages, both the young and the young at heart. Most of my favorite memories from when I was young revolve around the holiday season. Since kids spend a good amount of time at school throughout the holiday months, I think it's important for teachers to get involved and participate in fun holiday activities along with their class. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that learning and staying focused on academics aren't an extremely important part of school. But I think it's easy to forget that after all is said and done, kids are still just kids. Along with all of the hard work and learning, there needs to be at least a little bit of time left over for developing creativity, building friendships among classmates, and having some good old-fashioned fun.
